Welcome to the first full week of the New Year, readers.
And for parents, happy (likely) first day of snow-filled chaos with your kids, daycare or school!
I hope you weren’t like me Sunday, who found herself in the line at Acme with 800 of my closest friends. (Spoiler alert: I usually do my grocery shopping on Sundays so no, I wasn’t panic-buying, but my goodness, a lot of people were.) Happy to report that I’ve got all my favorites in the fridge though if this weather gets as snowy as expected.
In case you’re late to the party, pretty much all of Delaware is about to get hit with snow today. Sussex County may take the worst of it, but New Castle and Keny counties don’t look like they’re getting spared either. The latest forecast has the northern part of the state getting 4-8 inches, with Sussex getting between 6 to 10 inches.
Hopefully, you can spend today from the comfort of your home, but for those of you whose job or life responsibilities require you to leave the house, here’s how to stay safe on the roads . If you’re lucky enough to be on shoveling duty today, here’s how to do so safely (yes, there’s a right way to do this).
