WASHINGTON, D.C. (7News) – In this week’s Reading with Robert, we’re getting to know Joy Jones, the author of “Jayla Jumps In.” It’s about an 11-year-old girl named Jayla. She finds out that her mother, who was ordered by the doctor to lower her blood pressure, was a double Dutch champion. So, Jayla tries to follow in her mom’s footsteps and puts a team together to compete. But she finds that double Dutch is more than just jumping rope.
