The District of Columbia will host the Chinese New Year Celebration on Sunday, February 11, 2024. This event will lead to parking restrictions and street closures. Emergency No Parking will be enforced on streets including H Street (from 6th to 7th Street, NW) and I Street (from 5th to 8th Street, NW) from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on the event day.

Several streets will be closed to vehicles at various times. H Street (from 6th to 7th Street, NW) will be closed from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. I Street (from 5th to 7th Street, NW) and 6th Street (from H Street to Massachusetts Avenue, NW) will be closed from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Additional streets, including G Street (from 7th to 9th Street, NW) and H Street (from 5th to 9th Street, NW), will be closed from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. However, local traffic can use 6th Street from F to access the garage all day.

Parking restrictions will be in place, and vehicles parked in violation of the emergency no parking signs will be ticketed and towed. Motorists should expect possible delays and consider alternative routes. The Metropolitan Police Department and the D.C.
