DC metro home prices up 29% since before the pandemic

Whatever high mortgage rates and low inventory are doing to home sales in the D.C. region, selling prices continue to rise. Listing service Bright MLS reports the median price of what sold in the D.C. metro area in January was up 7% from a year ago. The median price throughout the region was $535,000, with selling prices much higher in many areas.
