Major Drug Conspiracy Uncovered in Florida: Thirteen Indicted on Serious Charges

Tampa, FL – In a significant crackdown on drug trafficking, United States Attorney Roger B. Handberg announced the unsealing of an indictment charging thirteen individuals for their alleged involvement in a large-scale drug conspiracy. The charges, which encompass the distribution of cocaine and methamphetamine within the Middle District of Florida, were revealed following extensive investigations by federal and local law enforcement agencies.

The defendants, ranging in age from 18 to 60, face serious charges including conspiracy to distribute and actual distribution of significant quantities of cocaine and methamphetamine. The indictment details the involvement of each individual, with the most severe charges carrying potential life sentences in prison. Among the accused is Daniel Carrillo, a 35-year-old from Weeki Wachee, facing one count of conspiracy to distribute significant amounts of methamphetamine and cocaine, in addition to three counts of cocaine distribution.
