A Large 52,500 Square Foot Publix With A 3,000-Square-Foot Mezzanine & Balcony Planned For Florida

If you live in Florida, you know that over the last couple of years, Publix has updated and revamped many of its outdated stores.

In some cases, however, Publix has opened new stores. And some of these stores are a bit larger than the average Publix with amenities that are new to some markets.

One of those stores is planned for central Florida.

About The New Publix Amenities That You See In Some Prototypes And Larger Stores: In late January of 2024, I wrote about a new Publix that had opened in central Florida which was said the second of a new “prototype” that first popped up in 2020 in south Tampa.

This Publix is 55,701 square feet, which is larger than the average-sized Publix – which is around 45,000 square feet. And it has an olive and salad bar.

These newer Publix stores offer a deli, which is a featured island on the sales floor, and a large dining area on another floor with a “Pours,” which offers beer, wine, and coffee.
