Miami and Miami Shores have topped the locations for Florida Lottery winners in June 2024, continuing a trend observed throughout the year. According to a report by Naples Daily News, part of the USA TODAY Network, these areas collectively sold eight winning tickets last month.
Florida Lottery’s June results show a diverse spread of winners across the state, with several cities recording multiple wins:
- Orlando: 4 winners
- Hollywood: 3 winners
- West Palm Beach: 3 winners
- Delray Beach, Hialeah, Homestead, Largo, Palm Bay, and Tampa: 2 winners each
This distribution highlights the statewide appeal of lottery games, with wins not centralized totally in a single area.
As I wrote in an earlier article, Publix supermarkets dominate lottery ticket sales. Naples Daily News reported that three of the eight winning tickets sold in Miami or Miami Shores were purchased at Publix locations.
This aligns with the broader trend of Publix being the top retailer for winning tickets for six consecutive months.
