You’ve made your list and checked it twice. You have all your presents wrapped and all your ingredients purchased for Christmas Day. Or so you think. Inevitably, it is not unusual to realize at the last second that you need batteries or a special ingredient or something that you just don’t have. Will any of Florida’s retailers be able to accommodate you on Christmas Day? Let’s have a look:
Grocers / Supercenters / Warehouse Clubs: Unfortunately, if you need a specialty item that only a grocery store will carry, you’re going to be out of luck in Florida as Publix, Costco, Aldi, Winn Dixie, Target, BJ’s Warehouse, Sam’s Club, The Fresh Market, Trader Joe’s, and Whole Foods are all closed on Christmas Day. Generally speaking, many grocers give employees Christmas off to spend with their families.
Convenience Stores / Pharmacies: If you have an item that you can get at a pharmacy or a convenience store, then you’re going to have more options. Some Walgreens and CVS stores are open for modified hours. You can find Walgreens’ store locator with phone numbers here and CVS here.
