Any Floridian who has been honored enough to share a home with multiple dogs knows that dogs’ personalities vary as much as humans do. Some are very low maintenance, will entertain themselves, and although they obviously love you, they don’t necessarily need your endless affection. Other dogs see you as their “person” and they want to be with you as much as possible and they depend on you to give them the love, affection, and attention that they crave from the one they love. There is a Chiweenie mix puppy in Florida that definitely falls into the latter category.
Meet Rudolph (AKA Rudy:) For those Floridians who don’t know, a Chiweenie is an affectionate term for a mix between a chihuahua and a dachshund – both small breeds. Rudolph is part miniature dachshund. As such, he is only eight pounds at twelve weeks old.
Rudy is the type of dog that has a “person” and he wants attention from that person, to whom he will be “exceptionally affectionate” in return, according to his rescue organization, Kathi’s K9s. Because of this, he sleeps with his foster mom.
