Ground Broken On 1 Of 2 New FL Walmart Prototypes Called “Store Of The Future” Not Everyone Is Happy

Floridians who need to buy groceries along with other items will often opt for a big box retailer or discount department store. Two popular options in this category are Target and Walmart. And Florida is getting two new prototypes of the latter. But not all residents are happy.

New Walmart Prototypes In Florida: Walmart has placed some prototypes called a “store of the future” in Florida. These stores have wide aisles, additional hot options in the deli, and larger meat and produce sections.

I wrote about Santa Rosa Beach and The Villages getting these options. And now, Florida is getting two new stores of these prototypes. One has broken ground.

About The New Florida Walmart Stores: A new Walmart Neighborhood Market was approved for Pace, Florida in late October of 2024.

And a Walmart Neighborhood Market in Milton broke ground in November of 2024. An opening is expected in the summer of 2025, along with around 100 jobs.
