GDC Data Shows Five Homicides in One Month at Four Georgia Prisons

A total of 22 inmates died while in custody in Georgia prisons in October, with five deaths ruled as homicides, according to the most recent fatality report from the Georgia Department of Corrections.

The data reveals that the homicides occurred at Macon SP, Coastal SP, Central SP, and Telfair SP.

Among the other deaths, 12 have been determined to be caused by natural causes, three are currently undetermined/awaiting autopsy, and two deaths were ruled as suicides.

– 12/10 – Taurean Hardy, 40 – Macon SP – Homicide

– 12/10 – Michael Perry, 45 – ASMP – Natural Causes

– 12/10 – Erick Stocks, 35 – ASMP – Natural Causes

– 12/13 – Ryan Archer, 25 – Coastal SP – Homicide

– 12/13 – Benjamin Hicks, 64 – Baldwin SP – Natural Causes
