Now that we have put behind yseterday’s unusual snowfall we can move along nicely in seasonal temperatures and sunshine today. We started off very cold as we hit bottom this morning in the teens and lower 20s in many places and middle 20s in warmer urban areas. sunshine today will take highs to the middle and upper 30s. Snow showers continue today across parts of lake effect in upstate NY but other than some patchy passing clouds we have no precipitation issues to worry over today.
Tonight won’t be quite as cold as skies should be mostly clear. Lows by morning will be in the 20s inland with some teens in cold spots. Warmer urban centers will be closer to 30 degrees. Monday is shaping up to be a nice day of sunshine and temperatures will moderate a bit as highs reach the upper 30s and lower 40s.
Moving along this week we will see temperatures moderate a bit as high pressure over New England and Southeastern Canada slowly moves to the east. This will keep weather systems away until Thursday when a cold front approaches late in the day or perhaps Thursday night. To the south low pressure which is bringing rain to Florida today will exit off the coast tonight and pass well to the southeast with no issues whatsoever.
