LENOIR COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) – Education Week data shows that 2024 has seen over 20 reported school shootings in the U.S. Just last week, two students and two teachers died after fourteen-year-old high school student, Colt Gray, in Georgia opened fire at his school. Following the tragedy, schools in ENC are continuing to prioritize student safety in the highest regard.
