Hattiesburg Police Department responded to a call from the 6400 Block of Highway 98. The dispatch call was in reference to three individuals from Georgia who were attempting to cash a forged check at a Hattiesburg bank.
Hattiesburg Police arrested the three individuals, who were charged in the bank fraud investigation. Each of the three has been booked into Forrest County Jail.
Jazman Kaye Gatewood, age 29, has been charged with forgery/uttering. Maurice Pollock, age 42, has been charged with conspiracy to commit a felony. Jaywong James Benton, age 26, has also been charged with conspiracy to commit a felony.
The bank fraud incident is still under investigation. More information will be released as it is made available.
