Firebrand Georgia Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene on Thursday blamed America’s evils on God’s “punishment” for “murdering babies” and separately said she doesn’t want to give the Federal Emergency Management Agency “a damn penny” despite the agency’s desperate plea that it does not have enough funding to make it through this hurricane season.
FEMA is being stretched as it continues to respond to the aftermath of the deadly Hurricane Helene , delivering food, water, generators and other vital supplies, Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas told reporters Wednesday, according to The Associated Press.
The massive storm barrelled into the Southeast and flooded multiple towns, killing more than 160 people.

At a town hall on Thursday, Greene addressed FEMA’s plea when asked by a constituent, and separately said the country “feels like it is under judgment” since the Roe v. Wade ruling in 1983.
