FEMA announces disaster assistance for Helene survivors surpasses $344 million

Washington, DC (WOLO) – The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) along with their 8000 federal workers continue helping communities across the country impacted by Hurricane Helene. When combined, FEMA says assistance for survivors in those six states and three Tribal Nations including, South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, Virginia, and Florida has now exceeded $344 million dollars in 375,000 households.
