Attorney General’s Office warns of nearly 400 price gouging complaints in Georgia

SAVANNAH, Ga. – On Sept. 24, just two days before Tropical Storm Helene became a hurricane, Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp enacted a state of emergency, which also puts the state’s price gouging statute in place. In over two weeks,Georgia’s Consumer Protection Division received nearly 400 complaints of price gouging.
