Cream Cheese Glaze Recipe: Easy and Delicious!

I made up a batch of this simple cream cheese glaze to drizzle over the top of some homemade cinnamon rolls that I made the other afternoon. I like this glaze better on cinnamon rolls than the standard powdered sugar glaze that a lot of cinnamon rolls are served with. You will need the following ingredients:

Recipe:

4 tablespoons butter, softened to room temperature

3 oz cream cheese, softened to room temperature

1 1/2 cups of powdered sugar

2 tablespoons of milk (heavy whipping cream and half- in-half will work too)

1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract

Using a mixer, mix together the softened cream cheese and the butter until it gets light and fluffy.

Add the vanilla, milk and the powdered sugar and beat on low just until everything is mixed, then turn the mixer to high and beat until creamy and smooth. Tip: Start the mixer on low so that you do not get powdered sugar all over everything.

You may need to add a little more milk to make this a thin glaze consistancy.

Drizzle this glaze over whatever dessert you are covering with it. Enjoy!
