The 2025 Hyundai Ioniq 5 is the first Hyundai vehicles to be built at the company’s shiny new Georgia Metaplant. Ordinarily, that’d be a boring load of PR nonsense hardly worth covering. However, because Georgia is a state within the United States of America, the Ioniq 5’s new home means it now qualifies for the $3,750 federal EV tax credit on purchase, in addition to the full $7,500 credit applied to lessees.
