Homemade chicken tenders are really simple to make and they only take a few minutes to fry up. In the time you can drive to a restaurant you could make your own at a fraction of the price. You will need the following ingredients:
Recipe:
1- 2 pounds of chicken tenders
1 cup of all -purpose flour
1/2 cup of buttermilk plus 2 tablespoons
1 – 1 1/2 cups of frying oil
salt and pepper to taste
optional: hot sauce if you like them spicy
Trim the chicken tenders and remove the white stripping from down the side. (this is not a must)
Pour the 1/2 cup of buttermilk in a bowl and place the chicken tenders in the buttermilk and let it sit for a few minutes while you are preparing the other ingredients.
Preheat a large skillet to medium high heat and pour the oil into the skillet so that is about 1/2 inch deep. The amount of oil will vary according on how large the skillet is.
Add the flour to a bowl large enough to place the chicken tenders into. Sprinkle in about 2 tablespoons of buttermilk and stir it into the flour. Tip: This will make the crispy pieces on the chicken tenders.
