I came across this recipe the other day and I wondered what chicken tetrazzini was, as I have never had it. I decided to cook it up and just see what it was all about. You will need the following ingredients:
Ingredients:
4 1/2 tablespoons of butter
1 tablespoon of olive oil
1/2 pound of boneless skinless chicken, diced
1/2 lb of mushrooms, sliced thinly
1/2 of a large red onion, diced finely
2 cloves of garlic, minced
1/4 cup of a dry white wine
1 1/2 cups of whole milk
2 1/2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour
1/2 cup of heavy cream
1 cup of chicken broth
1/2 lb of linguine pasta, cooked according to the package
optional: 1/8 Cup of Fresh Parsley, chopped
1/2 cup of grated parmesan cheese
1/8 cup of bread crumbs
salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 425 degrees.
Preheat a large skillet to medium high heat and add 1 tablespoon of butter and 1 tablespoon of oil and add the diced chicken. Cook the chicken until it is cooked through and then remove it from the pan and place it in a plate or bowl.
