I made this ravioli casserole the other night just using up some ingredients that I had on hand and it was so good. This is a really simple recipe that comes together in about 15 minutes or so, minus the baking time. I used the following ingredients:
Recipe:
1/2 pound of ground chuck
1/2 pound of ground italian sausage
1/2 on a bell pepper, diced finely
1/2 of an onion, diced finely
1 clove of garlic, minced
1 jar of your favorite marinara sauce
1 package of frozen ravioli, I used cheese
8 – ounces of mozzerlla cheese, shredded
salt and pepper to taste
optional: 20 – 25 slices of pepperoni
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
Preheat a oven safe skillet to medium heat and add the ground chuck, italian sausage, onions, bell peppers, salt and pepper and cook until the meat is cooked through. Drain and return to the skillet.
Add the garlic and cook this another 2 – 3 minutes and then pour in the pasta sauce and heat this through. Turn the heat off and remove about two-thirds of the meat mixture into another bowl.
