I made up this cherry cheesecake recipe the other day, using up some pie filling I had on hand, and it was so good. This is a really simple recipe to make and you can change the pie filling flavors to your favorite. You will need the following ingredients:
Recipe:
2 cans of cherry pie filling (or use any flavor you like)
1 box of white cake mix
8 tablespoons of butter, melted
8 oz of cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup of powdered sugar
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Pour the cherry pie filling into a 13 x 9 baking dish and spread the pie filling out evenly.
In a medium bowl add the cream cheese and the powdered sugar and mix this with a mixer until it is light and creamy.
Spoon the mixture evenly over the cherry pie filling. Tip: I used a small teaspoon to do this.
Take the back of the spoon and press each drop of the cream cheese mixture underneath the cherry pie filling mixture to cover it up.
