HONOLULU (KHON2) — The National Weather Service has issued a wind and flood advisory for parts of the state on Wednesday morning, Jan. 24.
The advisory comes as a pair of cold fronts approach the state, said NWS.
The first cold front is parked northwest of Kauai, so the island is expected to have saturated grounds and windy conditions. As a result, NWS has issued a flood advisory for the Garden Isle that will remain in effect until 1 p.m.
As the front travels down the island chain, it is expected to weaken and finish by Wednesday night.
As for the wind advisory, that is in effect until 6 p.m. for some islands: Niihau, Kauai, Oahu, Molokai, Lanai, and lower elevations of Maui.
