HONOLULU (KHON2) — Wednesday morning is noticeably cooler compared to the past several mornings.
Instead of mid 70°s to start the day, many areas are in the low to mid 60°s.
The cold front, or remnants of the cold front, is over the Big Island this morning and although it is a weak boundary, there is enough instability with it to cause a few showers over the Big Island.
On the other end of the state on Kauai, there will be a chance for isolated showers as well with broken cloud coverage.
As for the middle islands, including Maui County and Oahu, expect partly cloudy to partly sunny skies with high temperatures at or just below normal in the upper 70°s to near 80°.
A weaker cold front is expected to quickly pass over the island chain Thursday into Friday producing clouds and possibly a few isolated showers. The front will pass over Hawaii and dissipate by the time we get to Friday night, just in time for the weekend.
This weekend expect nice conditions with lots of sunshine and high temperatures near normal, which is 80° for Honolulu and low 80s for everyone else.
