As a matter of fact, the light rain from this front be beneficial for Hawaii. The cold front should be south of the Big Island by Saturday morning. Scattered showers are expected for Oahu Thursday, possibly lingering into tonight.

These light showers should pass over Maui County Friday morning and over the Big Island Friday afternoon and evening.

Cooler Temperatures

Big changes are expected after this cold front passes over the state. There are cooler temperatures behind the front that most on Kauai and Oahu will feel Friday morning.

Dewpoint temperatures are expected to drop from the upper 60s to the mid-50s. That means it will feel noticeably cooler Friday morning with less moisture in the air.

Temperatures could drop into the low 60s, and even upper 50s in some areas. These cooler temperatures will be with us for at least the next few mornings. Afternoon high temperatures will dip into the mid-70s in a lot of areas across the state through the weekend.
