Beloved Hawaii nightclub owner Jack Cione dies at 96

HONOLULU (KHON2) — Jack Cione, a cherished figure in Hawaii’s nightclub scene, has passed away at the age of 96.

Cione was the owner of several prominent nightclubs during the 1960s and 70s, including the renowned Dunes Club, which was one of the first venues in Hawaii to feature male burlesque shows and cabaret performances.

Even in retirement, Cione remained active in the arts, producing the popular “Arcadia Follies,” which showcased performances by residents of a senior living facility, all choreographed by him. His final Follies show took place just last month.
