Each year, CMS publishes ratings for Medicare Advantage (Part C) and Medicare prescription drug plans (Part D), helping consumers evaluate and compare the quality of different health plans.
To determine the ratings, CMS evaluates several aspects of care and service, including how well health plans help members maintain their health, manage chronic conditions, and ensure patient access to care.

Ratings also reflect patient experiences, customer service, and pharmacy services.
“We are proud that our 4.5-star rating reflects the strength of our integrated care model and the dedication of our teams in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care,” said Dr. Karen Ching, associate area medical director of quality for Kaiser Permanente Hawaii. “Our connected approach allows us to meet the unique needs of each member, ensuring they receive the best possible care at every stage of life.”
