Hawaii rings in the New Year with a bundle of joys!

HONOLULU (KHON2) — The new year brought joy to several Hawaii families with the arrival of newborns across the state.

Hawaii’s first baby of 2025 was born at Adventist Health Castle at 12:08 a.m. Baby Aurelio weighed 7 pounds, 3 ounces.

First-time parents Ciara and Esteban were overjoyed to welcome their son into the world.

Over at Queen’s Punchbowl, Jackie and James-Joel celebrated the birth of their son, Jayden-James, at 1:15 a.m.

He weighed 4 pounds, 7 ounces, and the family is doing well.

At Kaiser Permanente Moanalua, Athena and Tagiilima welcomed not one, but two babies.

Their son, Thaddeus, was born at 1:38 a.m. weighing 6 pounds, 9 ounces. Nine minutes later, his twin sister Alvena arrived, weighing 7 pounds, 6 ounces.

The couple now has eight children.
