Idaho Freedom Caucus splits from national network, cites trust issues

BOISE, Idaho – The Idaho Freedom Caucus is splitting from the National State Freedom Caucus Network. In late 2021, the National State Freedom Caucus Network nonprofit launched to promote conservative policy. The Idaho Freedom Caucus network was created in 2017 and modeled after the U.S. Congressional Freedom Caucus. The IFC joined a newly formed State Freedom Caucus Network in 2022. Tension between the two legislative groups has been on the rise as trust began to diminish.
