Warm Weekend Ahead for Inland Northwest Before Cold Front Brings Change

The Inland Northwest is poised for a warm and dry weekend, with temperatures expected to reach the 70s. High pressure north of the region is keeping significant weather systems at bay, resulting in calm conditions through Sunday. However, this pleasant weather will give way to a notable shift next week.

As the weekend progresses, a high-pressure system from the Southwest United States will strengthen, maintaining above-average temperatures. Although highs will be cooler than those experienced earlier in the week, they will still hover in the upper 60s. Overnight lows are expected to dip into the upper 20s and 30s, signaling the end of the growing season for many gardens in North Washington and Idaho.

Looking ahead to Monday, temperatures will remain significantly above normal, with daytime highs expected to be 10 to 15 degrees warmer than average. Dry conditions will persist through Tuesday morning. However, a cold front is forecasted to arrive midweek, bringing a change in weather patterns.
