A round of precipitation is heading into SE Oregon and SW Idaho tonight, with snow expected to blanket the northern high terrain on Wednesday. As a warm front moves in, upslope flow will bring snow to higher elevations, with snow levels starting at 3,500 to 4,000 feet and rising to 4,000 to 5,000 feet later in the day. While the Nevada border will see little to no precipitation, winds are forecast to pick up, particularly in southern Harney County, where gusts could approach advisory levels by the afternoon. Temperatures will be a few degrees above normal, adding to the wintery mix.
