Illinois employers have to show salary and benefits on job listings starting 2025

(WTVO) — Most employers in Illinois will have to disclose salary and benefits in their job listings starting January 1, 2025.

The Department of Labor is sending out a reminder that employers, with 15 or more workers, must abide by the new law going into place at the beginning of the new year.

The new requirement is mandated by an amendment to the Equal Pay Act of 2003 that was signed into law last year.

Anyone who sees a listing that is not in compliance can report that employer to Illinois’ Labor Department.
