Heavy Rain & Thunder Possble Across Parts of Pennsylania and New York

Good morning everyone. Very cool to somewhat cold air is on the move and expected to infiltrate the Northeast and Central States over the course of the next few days. Ahead of it, we have mild days and comfortably cool nights. Look for 2 days of 70’s in a lot of locations, then we get knocked back into the 65-70 range as that front approaches Sunday. After that, we drop into 50’s and 60’s with some cold nights possible.

That front coming down is going to knock into the mild to warm air ahead of it. Low pressure forming along it will most likely help spawn some heavy showers and thunderstorms across parts of Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio late tomorrow and into the overnight hours.

While we don’t have any specific severe weather threats at this time, look for thunderstorms capable of locally damaging winds, hail, frequent lightning, and torrential rain. We should see that action slide into the rest of Ohio, Pennsylvania, and New York by Sunday as that cool boundary rushes through the Northeast and New England.
