Do I need to register to vote?

Yes.

How do I do that?

You can register to vote online , by mail or in person at your local election authority .

What’s the deadline?

The online registration deadline for the general election is 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, October 20. If you’re registering by mail, make sure your form is postmarked by Tuesday, October 8. Regular registration also ends on October 8, but you can still register and vote during early voting and on Election Day.

Where do I find out where my polling site is?

Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, November 5. To find your polling station, enter your address into the state’s Polling Place Lookup tool.

Can I vote by mail?

Apply online by visiting the State Board of Elections’ tool , selecting your county and following the prompts. Alternatively, download and complete an application from the State Board of Elections’ website, then mail or deliver it to your election authority.
