GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — The body recently found along the shore of Lake Michigan near Pentwater was that of a missing boater from Illinois, according to the Michigan State Police.
State police say the boater’s name will not be released.
“This is a very tragic time for this family and they are asking for privacy as they grieve their tremendous loss,” MSP wrote in a social media post .
The body was found Friday morning. It’s not clear exactly where.
