U.S. EPA awards Illinois over a half billion dollars for clean energy projects

Illinois will be receiving the third largest award of a massive federal clean energy grant program. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency awarded 25 taxpayer funded grants totaling $4.3 billion through the Inflation Reduction Act. The first grant was funded through the Climate Pollution Reduction Grant implementation program, totaling $430 million.
