There is a chance of snow and rain today, but the bigger threat for snow will be over the weekend. Rain and snow will begin to spread southeastward into central IL this afternoon, and continue southeastward, exiting the area late this evening. Snowfall accumulations around an inch are expected near and north of I-74, but light or no snow accumulation is expected for many areas to the south from a mix of rain and snow. Temperatures will be up a few degrees today with highs from the mid 30s to lower 40s, then colder conditions will resume.
