PEORIA (25News Now) – A winter storm will impact central Illinois starting tonight, bringing snow and dangerous travel conditions through Monday morning. Light snow will begin after midnight and spread across the area by early Sunday morning. Snowfall will pick up intensity by Sunday afternoon, especially along and south of I-72. The highest snow amounts will likely occur near and south of Route 136. Areas near and south of I-74 have the best chance of seeing 2 inches or more of snow, with lighter amounts north of I-74 and closer to I-80.
