Indiana Joins Governor Abbott and Texas in Border Crisis

Texas is getting a lot of support from State governors. Earlier today, the Governors of Georgia and Montana gave their support to send their State National Guard to the border.

On February 12, Indiana’s governor also declared sending the National Guard to the border. Governor Eric Holcomb made the announcement.

According to The Hill, Indiana is sending 50 National Guard to Texas.

Governor Holcomb posted on X:

“Effective immediately I am deploying the Indiana National Guard to support the ongoing border security mission in Texas.”

“Federal negligence enforcing immigration law and the failure to secure our country’s border jeopardizes national and economic security, affecting every state, including #Indiana.”

According to Spectrum Local News, Governor Holcomb said:

“We’ve worked too hard in Indiana attacking the drug epidemic for more Hoosier lives to be put at risk by a constant supply of killer drugs spilled over an open U.S. border. The only way to resolve this is to stop the historically high flow of illegal immigrants crossing the border.”
