Week-Long Patrol Nets 70 Arrests and Over 130 Charges in North Central Indiana

North Central Indiana — From June 14 to June 20, the Indiana State Police, in collaboration with the Miami County Sheriff’s Office, Fulton County Sheriff’s Office, Cass County Sheriff’s Office, Wabash County Sheriff’s Office, Kokomo Police Department, and Rochester Police Department, conducted a highly effective week-long saturation patrol. This concerted effort aimed to enforce traffic laws, stem the flow of illegal narcotics into Hoosier communities, and target aggressive, distracted, and impaired drivers.

The following results are a snapshot of the overall productivity of the coordinated patrol:

  • 70 criminal arrests on 136 primarily drug-related charges
  • 19 felony charges
  • 105 misdemeanor charges
  • 124 traffic citations issued
  • 322 written warnings
  • 12 arrests for driving while impaired
  • 2 crashes worked
  • 12 calls for service

Throughout the patrol, officers confiscated an array of illegal substances, including cocaine, LSD, methamphetamine, heroin, marijuana, psilocybin mushrooms, edible marijuana products, MDMA, THC oil, ketamine, prescription medications, and drug paraphernalia.
