Indiana troopers seize 123 kilos of cocaine from semi at I-94 weigh station

This week, Indiana State Police (ISP) seized a large amount of cocaine from a semi truck at a weigh station in Porter County.

At 9:30 a.m. on September 16, ISP’s Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division stopped a semi truck at the I-94 eastbound scales for a motor carrier violation.

As the truck was stopped, an ISP canine did a “free air sniff” and alerted to the semi.

A physical search of the trailer uncovered 123.9 kilos of a white powder that later tested positive for cocaine.

Canadian truck driver Naseeb Chisty, 49, was arrested and booked into the Porter County Jail.

Chisty is facing charges of Dealing Cocaine (Level 2 Felony) and Possession of Cocaine (Level 3 Felony), according to ISP.
