Terry Goodin, U.S. Rep. candidate Tim Peck, among others — couched Beshear’s story as an example of how a Democratic candidate can beat the odds in a consistently Republican state.

The rally was one of McCormick’s final chances to win over voters in a three-way race against Republican nominee Mike Braun and Libertarian Donald Rainwater that has intensified in the final stretch.
