The National Weather Service in Paducah says much of the region can expect snow developing late Sunday into Monday morning. In its latest briefing on Sunday evening, forecasters say colder air on the back side of the storm system will change left over precipitation to light snow overnight and into Monday morning. Accumulations of 1 to 2 inches of new snowfall is possible through Monday morning. The heaviest accumulation will be focused across southern Illinois, southeast Missouri, and southwest Indiana.
