WATERLOO, Iowa — Cedar Bend Humane Society is waiving adoption fees through Oct. 31 for dogs and cats who have been at the shelter for at least 90 days.
The promotion, supported by C&S Car Company and Subaru Loves Pets, comes as the shelter is at capacity. Staff hope it helps some of the animals who have waited longest find homes.
“Some of our staff’s favorite animals are actually among our longest-waiting residents,” said Libby, the shelter’s adoption supervisor. “They have so much love to give, and we hope this promotion helps others see what we see in them every day.”…
