Julia Schneider, the Chief Development Officer at the Iowa Donor Network, said that the increases are a result of years of effort.

β€œIt has really been a cumulative effort in the last four to five years to continue to see increases in donation. and that really does come from the spirit of giving and the generosity of individuals who register as a donor and those families that say yes to donation,” Schneider said.

Currently, there are over 600 Iowans on the organ waiting list.
