Bill would change Iowa law to let federal candidates with felonies on the ballot

DES MOINES, Iowa – The Iowa Secretary of State Paul Pate has dropped a new bill, looking to limit Iowa’s Objection Panel’s power to review challenges to candidates running for federal office. Pate’s office said it’s a “technical bill that clarifies which objections the objection panel has jurisdiction to.”
