DES MOINES, Iowa (KCRG) – On Friday, Iowa Attorney General Brenna Bird announced a settlement with several companies regarding compliance with Iowa’s One Call law. The One Call law requires anyone who digs, excavates, or trenches privately or commercially to first contact the Iowa One Call center to locate and avoid damaging underground utilities. Failure to do so can cause injuries, create delays, and increase project costs.
