A much cooler and calmer day is in store for our Thursday compared to Wednesday. Temperatures should hover around the 70° mark with lighter north winds this afternoon. Clouds could increase this evening as a piece of shortwave energy passes over the region, bringing an isolated to scattered chance for showers mainly in North Iowa. Most should stay dry with very minimal rainfall totals expected to those who do see precipitation.
