Corn Harvest Doubles, While Bean Harvest Does Even Better

The amount of corn harvested for grain in Iowa has doubled in the last week, while soybeans harvested did even better than that. According to the USDA Crop Progress Report, corn harvested statewide is now at 22 percent, which is two days behind last year, but one day ahead of the five-year average. 21 percent of corn in northwest Iowa has been harvested. 77 percent of corn in Iowa is rated good-to-excellent, the same as last week.
